We are delighted to share the results of our December 2024 student support satisfaction survey, which highlights the incredible impact our support workers have on students and the vital role they play in fostering academic success.
This survey, sent to both active support workers and students, has provided us with invaluable insights into the outstanding work being done and the benefits being reaped by the students who access our services. With over 400 support workers and 1,200 students responding, the results demonstrate both the commitment of our support worker team and the value of the support provided.

A standout finding from the survey is the overwhelmingly positive feedback from students regarding the support they receive. An impressive 89% of students stated that they have built a strong working relationship with their support worker, emphasising the trust and connection that underpins effective support. One student noted, “My support worker Julia is absolutely amazing. She has made me so much more confident in my skills—I couldn’t get through my studies without her!”
87% of students also expressed happiness with the quality of support provided by their support worker, demonstrating the professionalism and dedication of our workers. Another student remarked, “The support I’ve received has been life-changing. I feel much more positive about my future thanks to my mentor.”

The survey also demonstrated the incredible dedication of our support workers, who play a crucial role in helping students thrive. An impressive 94% of support workers agreed that their sessions allow students to continue with their studies, while 90% believe their students are learning strategies to become more independent learners. One support worker shared, “The relationships with students have gone really well. It’s rewarding and enjoyable to help them succeed and grow.”
Support workers’ satisfaction with Randstad was also highlighted, with 81% saying they would be happy to work with Randstad again with only 3% disagreeing that they would. This reflects the strong communication and support we strive to provide, as well as our commitment to ensuring our support workers feel valued. One support worker noted, “I love my job and enjoy watching students grow in ability and mental health. The support from Randstad has been fantastic.”
