A new Local Transport Fund will support the build for additional roads to provide better public transport, reduce congestion and upgrade local bus and train stations.
Examples of projects we have supplied are:
- Kier/Bam joint venture (KBJV) for a series of infrastructure projects at the naval facility over the next decade, which are worth £2bn in total
- Working in partnership with Galliford Try to upgrade the A47 into a dual carriageway with a budget circa £283million for just one section!
- Supporting Balfour Beatty with a £317m project to improve the M25 at J10, M4, M3 & M20 National Emergency area retrofit scheme (part of £390m scheme of work)
- Balfour Beatty Vinci JV £129.5m M6 Smart Motorway project, which upgraded a 22 kilometre stretch of motorway between junctions 2 and 4
- Costain A1 Birtley to Coal House improvement project, a £250 million scheme to widen the A1 dual carriageway in the northeast of England
- M1 and M5 emergency area retrofit programme with BMJV, a £390 million national programme to build additional emergency areas on all lane running smart motorways in the Midlands

Civil Nuclear Roadmap describes how the UK could meet its existing target to generate up to 24GW of nuclear power by 2050. The UK currently has just one Nuclear plant under construction, the 3.2GW Hinkley Point C, with £2.7bn of work confirmed in the Autumn Budget 2024 for Sizewell C in Suffolk.

A further £2.4bn was announced in the Autumn Budget 2024 for flood defences. )
