Randstad, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Uckfield, is seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile.

The Role:

Hours: 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Support Focus: Working one-on-one with a child in Year 4 who has ASD and PDA.
Challenges: The child can exhibit challenging behaviors and requires a patient, understanding, and consistent approach.
Long-Term Commitment: This role has the potential to transition from temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

What We Are Looking For:

Resilience: The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Experience: Prior experience working with children with ASD, PDA, or other SEN needs is highly desirable.
Patience and Empathy: A nurturing approach to help the child manage their behavior and achieve their full potential.
Commitment: Willingness to work with the child on a long-term basis, ensuring stability and trust are built.
