Our Client is a three form entry primary school located in FY3 Blackpool. They currently cater for 630 children between the ages of 4 and 11 years and were last rated by OFSTED in 2018 as GOOD.
The school is situated in extensive grounds which include three playgrounds, large fields, woodland areas and enclosed gardens. In addition, the Reception children have use of an outdoor area for continuous provision. There are two large school halls, one in the infant department and one in the junior department. All classrooms are well equipped with visualisers and interactive boards and we have several mobile IT suites containing i-pads or chrome books, along with two libraries offering an extensive choice of fiction and non-fiction books for children to borrow. Staff car parking is available alongside a bus route directly outside the school with lunch provisions such as coffee shops and fast food chains available within a 5 minute walk of the school grounds.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is crucial in helping the child thrive in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-3:30 with a start date of 28th Oct and the role is going to extend into the spring term on a temporary contract basis

Support pupils with their learning in 1:1, small groups and the whole class.
Collaborate with the class teacher regarding targets and expectations
Liaise with other professionals within the School eg. SENCO, Teachers, TAs, specialist support staff.
Support the monitoring and tracking of all pupils in line with the assessment procedures in school.
Helping support the class teacher with IEP's
To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical and emotional/behavioural/medical needs of the child and respond to them effectively
To assist the class teacher/SENCo with the planning, development and delivery of suitable programmes of work for the pupil
To support class teachers to design, create and produce learning activities, materials and resources to support aspects of the curriculum or particular learning outcomes, and to assist and support the child in using them
To help, support and motivate the child, clarifying instructions, encouraging independent learning
Essential Requirements:
Must have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
Knowledge of development matters
Must be an outgoing individual with an ability to engage with pupils to have FUN while learning
Must be able to work collaboratively and competently within a team
Must be able to engage learners through play
Must have childcare Level 2 or above.
Desirable Requirements:
An understanding of SEN or learning needs.
Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
