We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to work with a secondary aged pupil on a 1:1 basis for 2-3 hours per week starting ASAP until Easter.

Location: Leeds
Contract: Part time ( 2-3 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £25 - £50 per hour
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and relevant examination boards.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
- Ability to deliver GCSE curriculum for English, Maths, and Science.
- The ability to differentiate sessions to meet the needs of the student.
- Strong time-management and organisational skills
- Efficient at using online teaching resources (if doing remote tutoring).
- Familiarity with exam preparation, including time management and efficient revision strategies.
- Offer the child constructive criticism whilst still boosting confidence and fostering positive self-esteem.
- Support the student to achieve their full potential
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tuition in English, Maths, and Science (GCSE level).
- Assess the student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles to create personalised lesson plans.
- Help the student get ready for GCSE exams by emphasising efficient revision methods, sample questions, and test-taking practices.
- Help the student understand key concepts and solidify their learning by providing assistance with coursework and revision.
- Track student progress with formative evaluations and adapt your teaching methods as necessary.
- To assess the student's development and accomplishments, administer summative tests and offer helpful feedback.
- Make sure the student is challenged appropriately to maintain engagement and motivation
