About the Role:
Shropshire Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join its Community Adults Team. This rewarding role involves delivering a diverse range of services, including:
...- Care Act assessments
- Mental Capacity Assessments
- Best Interest decisions
- Court work (as required)
- Safeguarding work
- Hospital discharges
You will work with a varied caseload of adults with diverse support needs, including:
- Older adults
- Adults with physical disabilities
- Adults with Dementia
- Individuals with hoarding behaviours
- Individuals experiencing self-neglect
- Adults with substance misuse issues
- Adults with mental health comorbidities
Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload effectively.
- Attend regular supervision sessions with a Senior Social Worker.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Qualified Social Workers, social care practitioners, student social workers and apprentices.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Degree (or equivalent)
- Social Work England registration
- Driving license and access to a car with business insurance (essential due to travel across North Shropshire)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - a combination of home and office-based work.
