Randstad is currently hiring an experienced Social Worker - Council Officer for a locum role in Adult Services based in the Shetland Islands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a unique location while receiving excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake statutory duties as a Council Officer under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act.
- Assess and manage risk, safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Work closely with multi-agency teams to deliver high-quality care and intervention.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide crisis intervention support.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
Requirements:
- SSSC registration as a Social Worker.
- PVG membership (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in Adult Services, particularly in protection and safeguarding.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to remote island working.
