About Us:
Randstad are supporting a Worcestershire based client to recruit for an experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join their multi-disciplinary team who work with children and their families where a Child in Need Plan is place. In addition, we also work with families where there are challenge to care issues. Each pod has a range of different disciplines which supports the plan overseen by the ASWP. We have Money Mentors, Family Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Outreach Support Workers, Substance Misuse Worker, and Administration Officers. In addition, we also have Family Meeting Coordinators and Emotional Health and Well being Workers attached to the service. This innovative way of working has proved successful producing positive outcomes for some our most vulnerable children and families within the County. Our intervention with families is based on a model of a maximum of 16 weeks in most cases but can be extended if required. Our aim is to keep families together if it is safe and appropriate to do so, therefore this is a dynamic, proactive, and creative team and is at the heart of what good social work practice is about.
Job Description:
As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Children's Support & Strengthening Families Team, you will provide expert guidance, mentorship, and support to social workers, while also managing complex cases and driving best practices. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the quality of service delivery and achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced practice leadership and support to social workers, including case consultations and supervision.
- Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases, ensuring effective assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies and interventions to support and strengthen families.
- Facilitate multi-agency collaboration and coordinate services to meet the needs of children and families.
- Lead on practice development initiatives and contribute to service improvement and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate case records and documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant research, policies, and best practices in social work.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and registration with [Relevant Professional Body].
- Extensive experience in children's services, with a focus on family support and complex case management.
- Proven ability to provide practice leadership and supervision.
- Strong understanding of child protection procedures, family dynamics, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Minimum Requirements:
-SWE Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
