    A specialist day centre is looking for a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join one of their busy care services for young people and adults with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs. They setting currently provides support to 50+ individuals who have a range of needs and disabilities but are united by a love of learning and education. Their mission is to help those young people make life happen which is why your role as a support worker is vital. Your be supporting with life skills, work experience and education activities. This role is needed on a part time, permanent basis starting ASAP. Applicants must be available a minimum 3 days a week. This role is needed all year round, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

    Your role will include:
    Supporting with life skills
    Supporting with homework/ study/ educational activities
    Promoting independence amongst the people we support
    Supporting people we support with Personal care needs
    Dealing with complex needs
    Liaise with other agencies and families when necessary

    Skills required for the role
    Excellent communications skills to liaise with other agencies
    Kind, nurturing and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
    Experience working within the care sector ( desirable)
    Eligibility to work in the UK
