Year 5 Teacher - Long-Term Opportunity (Full Teaching Responsibilities)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a small, community-focused primary school in Crawley. Starting from October half-term, this long-term role will run until the end of the academic year, providing much-needed stability for a class that has experienced several teacher changes this year. This position includes full teaching responsibilities, ensuring continuity and leadership for the pupils.

This school is known for its warm, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to grow both academically and personally. With a focus on providing rich learning experiences and fostering a love for lifelong learning, the school's vision is rooted in developing well-rounded, confident individuals who are prepared for the challenges of the future.

The school values respect, kindness, and courage, creating a supportive setting where children thrive. Strong foundations in reading, writing, and maths are prioritised alongside opportunities for outdoor learning and cross-curricular projects, encouraging resilience and independent thinking.

    About the role:

    • Full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment
    • Providing consistent leadership and support to a Year 5 class that requires stability and structure
    • Engaging with a values-driven approach to help pupils reach their full potential both academically and personally
    • Creating a stimulating learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop skills like problem-solving, reflecting, and collaboration

    What you'll need:

    • Experience in Key Stage 2
    • Strong behaviour management skills
    • A commitment to fostering an engaging, supportive classroom environment

    What we offer:

    • A long-term role with full teaching responsibilities until the end of the academic year
    • An opportunity to make a significant impact in a small, close-knit school community
    • A supportive environment that values personal growth alongside academic achievement
