    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
    • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and a love for science.
    • Adapt curriculum content and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
    • Implement effective behavior management strategies to ensure a positive and productive learning experience for all.
    • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and the leadership team.

    Essential Qualities:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, ideally within an alternative provision or SEND setting.
    • A deep understanding of the national curriculum for Science and its application to students with SEND.
    • A compassionate and patient approach, coupled with strong classroom management skills.
    • Awareness of the increasing prevalence of mental health challenges amongst young people and a commitment to supporting student well-being.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in leading Science departments or coordinating subject areas.

If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people and are excited to join a passionate and dedicated team, we encourage you to apply!

    To Apply:

Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and your passion for working with students with SEND to Claire Watson at claire.watson@randstad.co.uk or call 01293 527416.

We look forward to hearing from you!
