    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
    • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom where all pupils feel valued and supported
    • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them develop
    • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere
    • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to support individual learning needs
    • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to foster strong home-school partnerships
    • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence in young learners
    • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events

    Requirements

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1
    • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
    • Excellent classroom management skills with a positive and engaging teaching style
    • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN pupils
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals
    • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
    • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
