    Make a Difference: Long-Term SEN Teaching Assistant Required

    Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)?

    If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

    A thriving primary school in Crawley is looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to provide long-term support for students with SEN, starting in January 2025.

    Role Overview:

    • Provide tailored support to students with diverse SEN needs, implementing individualised learning plans.
    • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated and effective learning strategies.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
    • Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and professionals to ensure holistic student support.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Experience in SEN: Proven experience working with students with various SEN, including (list specific needs such as autism, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities).
    • Passion & Empathy: A genuine passion for helping students with SEN and a deep understanding of their unique needs.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities for effective interaction with students, teachers, and parents.
    • Team-Oriented: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a supportive team.
    • Patience & Understanding: A calm and patient approach to working with students with diverse emotional and learning needs.
    • Creative & Resourceful: The ability to think outside the box and use innovative methods to support student success.

    Qualifications:

    • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
    • Relevant school experience is highly desirable.
    • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred (or equivalent experience).
    • SEN experience is essential.
