Role Overview: As a General Cover Teacher at the School in Sheffield, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of education during staff absences. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects, ensuring that students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience working in a diverse and inclusive school environment.
- Familiarity with the curriculum and assessment methods used in UK secondary schools.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students from various backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across multiple subjects in the absence of regular teachers.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Implement lesson plans provided by subject teachers, ensuring adherence to curriculum objectives.
Provide feedback to the appropriate staff members regarding student progress and any issues encountered. - Support students in understanding and completing assigned work.
- Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch and recess, as required.
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to aid their academic development.
