About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our small manufacturing team. Under the guidance of the Assembly Team Leader, you'll be responsible for the assembly and commissioning of machines, machine modules, and sub-assemblies using engineering drawings and 3D models. Ideal candidates will be apprentice-trained with a strong understanding of engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble parts according to specifications, including machine builds, modular assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Complete all necessary quality documentation.
- Identify and report any issues with assemblies or parts, adhering to company procedures.
- Operate handling equipment and machinery when trained to do so.
- Support and promote health and safety practices and 5S standards.
Target Measures:
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to complete assemblies on time, to required quality standards, and to ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
Qualifications & Skills:
The successful applicant will have:
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding Bills of Materials
- Previous assembly experience in a machine manufacturing environment
- Ability to handle various materials, including sheet metal and electrical components
