We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to lead and develop a KS3 & KS4 department in a specialist SEN setting. This role is ideal for an experienced educational leader with a passion for SEN and Autism, who thrives on building strong teams, driving improvements, and delivering outstanding outcomes for students both academically and emotionally.
As an integral part of the senior leadership team, you will ensure high standards of teaching and learning, mentor staff, and oversee transitions, curriculum development, and student progression.
âś” PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
âś” Experience teaching pupils with SEN and Autism.
âś” Previous experience in a leadership role or leading a department.
âś” Knowledge of school improvement strategies, Ofsted inspections, and independent school standards.
âś” Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues.
âś” Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
