We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Residential House Manager to join a respected and innovative children's residential provider in West Lothian. In this key supporting role, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, contributing to a nurturing and safe environment where young people can develop life skills, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

Responsibilities:
- Support children in managing their behaviour, offering guidance and techniques to handle emotional outbursts or difficult situations.
- Support the Service Manager in the day-to-day operation of the residential home, ensuring smooth and efficient management.
- Assist in delivering exceptional care and support to the children and young people in your care.
- Hold responsibility for managing a team of staff, motivating, guiding, and providing support as needed.
- Work alongside Senior Residential Child Care Workers to ensure effective delivery of duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with Social Care Standards and actively contribute to training needs assessment, supervision, and rota management.
- Play a key role in contributing to efficiency improvements within the organisation, including ensuring staffing levels meet the needs of the home's occupancy
- Hours will be Monday to Friday with some flexibility around evening and weekends to cover the needs of the service on occasion
To be considered for the Assistant Managers role, ideally you will have:
- 2-5 years experience of working within a children's residential setting
- Completed SVQ Level 3 and willing/or working towards SVQ Level 4
- Clean Driving License
- Relevant Experience in the Residential Child Care Sector in a supervisory role.
- Able to work unsocial hours, including Weekend and perform on-call duties on occasion
