We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Assistant Planner to join the Planning team and gain valuable experience in project planning and scheduling. Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g., AstaPower, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
* Analyse project scope, drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate and realistic schedules.
* Identify potential risks and constraints, assisting in the development of mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery.
* Assist in allocating resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet project deadlines and optimise efficiency.
* Monitor resource utilization and assist in adjusting schedules as needed to accommodate changes and unforeseen circumstances.
* Track project progress against planned schedules, identifying any deviations or potential delays.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports to project management, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges.
* Assist in developing and implementing corrective action plans to address delays or issues.
* Assist in identifying and assessing potential risks to project schedules, developing mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
* Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist with the preparation of project plans, reports, and presentations.
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Construction Management, Planning, or a related field.
* A basic understanding of project planning principles and techniques.
* Basic proficiency in using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) is preferred.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a team.
