Randstad is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join Wrexham's Children's Services as an Assistant Team Manager. This agency role offers a fantastic opportunity to support the management of a dedicated team, delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families in Wrexham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Team Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's services team.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to social workers, ensuring best practices in safeguarding and care planning.
- Assist in managing complex cases, ensuring timely assessments, interventions, and reviews.
- Contribute to performance monitoring, ensuring the team meets service targets and statutory requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, supporting staff development and service innovation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales.
- Substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding within children's services.
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and support staff in delivering high-quality interventions.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
