Randstad Student Support has a fantastic opportunity for an Assistive Technology Trainer to provide training on software and hardware to University students and individuals based in the workplace, with specific learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tailored assistive technology training plans for university students and workplace professionals with disabilities
- Provide individualised training sessions on a variety of assistive software and hardware
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate training records
- Commit to ongoing professional development and potentially adjust to flexible working hours
Required:
- Experience in teaching or training assistive technologies
- Background in working with individuals with disabilities or specific learning differences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and quickly learn new assistive technologies
Desirable:
- Experience working with students in higher education
- Knowledge of specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders
Role Details
- Probation: 6 months
- Schedule: 08:30-17:30, with possible overtime during peak times
- Work Environment: Hybrid (both in-person and remote)
