Gateshead Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Audit and Complaints Team Manager to oversee a series of audits and investigate complaints across our adult social care services. This vital role ensures that our services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance, adhering to our Audit Framework.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits within adult social care services, guided by the Audit Framework.
- Investigate complaints facilitated by the Complaints Team, ensuring thorough and timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with the Complaints Team and Service Director to finalise complaint outcomes.
- Report findings and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and council policies.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months
- Social work England Registered
- Proven experience in auditing, preferably within adult social care or a related field.
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to handle complaints sensitively and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload efficiently.
- Familiarity with quality assurance frameworks and regulatory requirements in adult social care.
Additional Information
- This role offers flexibility to work remotely; however, attendance at the Gateshead office will be required for 2 to 3 days during the initial induction and training period.
- Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered, allowing for work-life balance and flexibility.
