Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Python - Contract - £400pd (INSIDE IR35)
My client a leader in their field are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Automation Engineer with expertise in Ansible, Python, and REST APIs, specifically focused on storage automation. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing automation solutions for enterprise storage infrastructure, ensuring scalable and reliable automation across storage provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and Python.
Manage and configure Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
Convert vendor APIs into consumable services within a third-party platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
Ensure best practices in coding and automation are followed.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship within an agile environment.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in Ansible and Python development.
Strong expertise in Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management.
Solid understanding of infrastructure components, including databases and storage.
Experience in working within a regulated and change-controlled environment, preferably within financial services.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with Cucumber, Gherkin, and Visual Studio.
Experience using Jira for task management and project tracking.
Relevant industry certifications.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within agile frameworks.
