Cloud Architect Consultant - Azure - SC Cleared - London/Hybrid - £700-750pd (inside IR35)
My client, a leader in their field are seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect Consultant with 10+ years of experience for a consulting assignment that has the possibility of extensions. This role involves performing a comprehensive assessment of the organisation's multi-cloud environment and providing tailored recommendations and advisory services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong multi-cloud background, particularly with Azure and AWS, and hands-on expertise with Azure Arc for managing and governing hybrid cloud environments.
This role is Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct an assessment of the organisation's current cloud and hybrid environment.
- Design and deliver tailored Azure Arc solutions to integrate and manage non-Azure resources (e.g., private cloud and AWS).
- Develop and present High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), incorporating Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
- Create specifications and blueprints for Azure Arc implementations based on findings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical designs with business objectives and risk considerations.
- Provide advisory on cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks, with emphasis on IAM, PAM, and PIM.
- Implement best practices for resource tagging, policy management, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven expertise as a Cloud Architect or Cloud Solution Architect in multi-cloud environments, particularly Azure.
- Deep understanding of Azure Arc architecture principles, managing non-Azure resources via Arc agent, and aligning solutions with Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Technical proficiency in cloud networking, storage, and compute services (e.g., VNETs, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Azure App Service).
- Knowledge of Azure Policies, Management Groups, and RBAC.
- Strong foundation in cloud security principles and public sector compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and deliver insights at all levels.
Preferred Skills
- SC Clearance
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS hybrid integrations.
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are a plus.
