We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our team in a secondary setting in Leeds. In this role, you will work closely with students who require pastoral support, helping them to engage with their learning and manage their behaviour effectively.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Relevant experience working with young people, ideally in a pastoral or behavioural support role.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to behaviour issues in classrooms, providing pastoral support and removing students when necessary.
- Supervise students in inclusion, ensuring a positive and focused environment for learning.
- Work with students one-to-one or in small groups to address behavioural challenges and promote positive interactions.
- Proactively monitor behaviour across the school, helping to keep incidents to a minimum.
