Within the Environmental sector, my client are a leading provider of a range of products and services with an emphasis on technical expertise, sector knowledge and hands-on experience. Combined, their four distinct divisions represent a strong interlinked proposition in markets where increasingly onerous regulation exists and where outsourcing is growing.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Managing the entire bid lifecycle: From identifying opportunities through to delivering winning proposals, you'll be responsible for ensuring all bids are completed within time and financial parameters.
- Identifying bid opportunities: You'll utilize our software programmes to identify potential bid opportunities arising from portals, keeping a close eye on the market and proactively searching for new leads.
- Evaluating tender documents and feedback: You'll be a master at analysing tender documents and feedback, identifying areas for improvement to ensure our bids are always sharp and competitive.
- Conducting research: You'll be responsible for conducting thorough research on prospective clients, competitors, and sectors in conjunction with any tender opportunities.
- Leading bid discussions: You'll plan and lead "bid/no-bid" discussions, collaborating with colleagues to make strategic decisions on which opportunities to pursue.
- Crafting persuasive proposals: You'll write compelling and persuasive proposals that showcase our company's strengths and highlight how we can deliver value to our clients. You'll work closely with our business leaders and technical managers to improve bid responses.
- Formatting bids and proposals: You'll ensure our bids and proposals are formatted professionally and comply with company standards.
- Maintaining the group bid tracker: You'll be responsible for maintaining the group bid tracker and ensuring compliance with company tendering procedures.
Who we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager, ideally in the construction, compliance or professional engineering consultancy sectors.
- A deep understanding of the bid lifecycle and the ability to manage all stages effectively.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals that resonate with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop winning strategies.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
