Job Overview: My client, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Bid Manager to lead and manage the bid process for multidisciplinary construction projects. The successful candidate will inspire and direct a bid team to create high-quality, winning proposals that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Bid Management: Plan and manage all aspects of the bid process from conception to completion.
- Research and Strategy: Conduct sector and client research to identify best practices, client needs, and develop win strategies.
- Governance and Compliance: Coordinate the governance process, ensure bid approvals, and audit bids for compliance.
- Budget and Resources: Develop costed bid plans, monitor expenditures, and allocate resources effectively.
- Team Leadership: Inspire, support, and challenge bid team members to perform at their best.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate records and minutes.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Record, analyse, and manage issues, risks, opportunities, and changes throughout the bid process.
- Client Requirements: Ensure all client requirements are understood and reflected in the bid.
- Continuous Improvement: Review feedback and lessons learned to promote continuous improvement.
- Handover and Communication: Lead handovers with operations and effectively communicate bid strategies and solutions.
- CRM Management: Use and update Dynamics 365 to manage the governance process and future opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree level qualified or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous successful bid management experience in a similar infrastructure environment
- Experience managing designers and the design process
- Strong experience with stakeholder management
- Excellent knowledge of construction industry practices and standards
- Strong understanding of commercial aspects of bids, including terms & conditions and procurement models
