We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Pudsey. This full-time position is set to start in September, and we are looking for someone who can bring energy, expertise, and a love of biology to our KS4 students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Biology or a related field.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
- Proven experience teaching biology at the secondary level, preferably with KS4 students.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for biology.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging biology lessons to KS4 students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities.
