About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems within our facilities. The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians, ensuring all mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and contractors.
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and boilers.
Diagnose mechanical faults and oversee necessary repairs and replacements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, and inventory.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and disruptions.
Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to source necessary equipment and materials.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar mechanical lead/supervisory role.
Relevant technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software is a plus.
