We are seeking a superb Call operator to join our team and provide essential support to the health-care trust based in Ballymena. The ideal candidate will thrive in a busy environment with tasks inclusive of; call handling, ensuring quality standards, recording accurate information, dealing with queries with immediate action, data input, and general office duties.
LOCATION: Ballymena
POSITION: Call Referral Operator (Band 3)
PAY RATE: Band 3 £11.67
HOURS: 37.5 pw (Monday - Friday)

Requirements:
- Awareness of duties surrounding the post
- Knowledge of microsoft office suite
- General awareness of health and social care services
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection
- Knowledge of office procedures
- Awareness of the need for good quality in an information system environment
- 5 GCSE's (A-C) inclusive of math and english
- Two years clerical experience
OR
- GCSE English Language
- Two years clerical experience
- Working in a public or patient centred customer service role
- Word processing experience or qualification
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all queries received in a professional manner
- Accept telephone referrals from Trust staff, patients, carers and external agencies for a range
- of Trust services.
- Make sure that referral information is accurate and appropriate
- Collate referral information accurately using the specified protocols and guidance.
- Forward referrals electronically to appropriate locations
- Process referrals and associated information on time
- Liaise with professional staff as required
- Provide a high level of customer service to those making and receiving referrals
- Adhere to operational procedures within the office
- Provide information to internal and external agencies regarding progress of referrals
- Provide advice and support to system users when required
- Extract electronic and manual data from relevant information systems and produce reports
- Provide support and training to new members of staff
- Process information & perform data entry for information received in a timely manner
- Make sure that quality standards are adhered to and that confidentiality is not breached, as
- directed by the team supervisor and in accordance with Trust policy
- Maintain general correspondence files
- Participate in Performance Reviews and meet agreed objectives and targets
