I am thrilled to announce that due to high demand we are looking for experienced and reliable Caretakers to support the daily operations of the school, ensuring that the site remains secure, clean, and fully functional for both staff and students in Blackpool.
As a Caretaker, you'll be at the heart of our school's day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly so our educators and students can focus on what matters most - learning and growing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep of school buildings, classrooms, grounds, and facilities.
- Carry out cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure the school environment is always safe and conducive to learning.
- Oversee and support external contractors carrying out maintenance or construction work on the school site, ensuring minimal disruption to school activities.
- Manage the security of the premises, including locking/unlocking the school, setting alarms, and responding to any security concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for students and staff.
- Act as a key holder and respond to any out-of-hours emergencies as needed.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience as a Caretaker or in a facilities management role, ideally within a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations, particularly in an educational environment.
- Strong practical skills in basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- A proactive and flexible approach to the role with a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for all.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
