Due to high demand for Caretakers, a couple of our local schools in Wigan are looking for dedicated Caretakers to join our team and play a key role in keeping our schools safe, secure, and in tip-top condition.

As our Caretaker, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your work is crucial to the smooth operation of the school, providing a safe, secure, and clean space for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and minor repairs of school buildings and grounds.
• Opening and closing the school each day, ensuring the site is secure.
• Maintaining health and safety standards, including regular checks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Ensuring that classrooms and facilities are clean, well-maintained, and fully functional.
• Assisting with setting up for school events and activities.
• Responding promptly to any urgent issues or requests from staff.

What we are looking for:

• Is Practical & Skilled: You'll be responsible for general maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the school's facilities are in excellent working order.
• Is Reliable & Hardworking: You'll be the go-to person for all things related to building upkeep and safety.
• Has an Eye for Detail: Keeping the premises clean, tidy, and safe for students, staff, and visitors.
• Is Team-Oriented: You'll collaborate with staff, students, and external contractors to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Requirements:

• An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
