Responsibilities
- Providing calm leadership, motivating and supporting team members in a demanding environment.
- Representing social work within the IRD process, collaborating with partners, and updating relevant information.
- Leading a statutory child and families team with expertise in IRD decision-making.
- Managing cases, with a focus on high-risk child protection work.
- Providing case management support to staff, ensuring high-quality assessments and timely responses to risks.
- Reviewing staff reports and ensuring the highest quality of work.
- Collaborating with colleagues in police, health, and education.
- Leading and supporting a team dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and families.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with a Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Registered with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council)
- Strong knowledge and experience of child protection procedures and legislation.
- Experience managing a children and families team
