As a Social Worker in this team, you'll play a crucial role in assessing needs, planning interventions, and supporting families through challenging times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans that promote their welfare and development.
- Work collaboratively with families to ensure that they are fully involved in decision-making processes, and that children's voices are central to care planning.
- Manage a varied caseload, providing ongoing support to children and families, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive approach.
- Participate in child protection work, including case conferences, reviews, and legal processes, while adhering to safeguarding protocols.
- Monitor and review cases regularly, adjusting care plans to meet changing needs and ensuring positive outcomes for children.
- Act as an advocate for children and families, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with children and families, ideally within child protection or safeguarding.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Excellent assessment, planning, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to promoting the safety, well-being, and development of children and families.
