An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Midlothian Council's Children & Families team, where you will play a key role in supporting and protecting vulnerable children.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring care and protection
- Undertake assessments and reviews to ensure children's safety and wellbeing
- Develop and implement child-centred care plans
- Work in partnership with multi-agency teams to provide the best support for children and families
- Prepare reports and attend Children's Hearings and court proceedings where required
Requirements:
- Member of the PVG scheme
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Member of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Experience working with children and families
