• Manage a caseload of children in care, providing ongoing support and guidance as they transition through different placements and stages of their lives.
• Work collaboratively with children, foster carers, adoptive parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that address their specific needs and aspirations.
• Offer practical and emotional support to children in care, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of trust and security.
• Champion the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and they have access to appropriate services and resources.
• Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to care proceedings, advocating for the best interests of children.
• Work closely with foster carers, adoptive parents, school staff, health services, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to children's needs.

We are looking for social workers with a strong understanding of the needs of looked-after children, proven experience working with children in care, and a genuine commitment to their well-being and positive outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
• Experience with Looked After Children: Proven experience working with children in care, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges they face and the support they need.
• DBS: on update service
