About the Role:
This company is seeking an experienced and qualified Registered Manager to lead and manage a 3 bed children's residential home supporting children with emotional and behavioural disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the home is compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards for Children's Homes. You will oversee the delivery of care and support to children and young people, ensuring their needs are met in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfil the role of the Registered Manager as defined within the Care Standards Act.
- Ensure the home environment is appropriate and sensitive to the needs of children or young people.
- Lead Ofsted inspections
- Monitor high-quality standards of care and develop quality assurance measures.
- Manage key stages in the stay of the children or young people, including admissions and discharges.
- Allocate Key Workers and ensure comprehensive care plans are developed and regularly reviewed.
- Promote the welfare, health, and educational needs of the children or young people.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring regular supervision and appraisal.
- Manage the recruitment, induction, and retention of staff.
- Oversee financial management, ensuring budgets are managed effectively.
- Ensure the home is maintained to high standards, meeting all Health and Safety requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or willing to work towards it.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience supervising and managing professional staff.
