🌟 About the Role:
You will be supporting children and young people who are in the care of the local authority, ensuring they are safe, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive. You'll play a crucial role in care planning, reviews, and working collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency teams.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of looked-after children
Develop, implement, and review care and permanence plans
Attend and contribute to statutory reviews, PEPs, and court proceedings
Work in partnership with carers, families, and other professionals
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory guidelines and best practices
🎓 What You'll Need:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience in children's social care, ideally within a Children in Care or Looked After Children team
Strong understanding of the Children Act, safeguarding frameworks, and care planning processes
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Commitment to trauma-informed and child-centred practice
