Randstad Education is currently working closely with a large primary school in the Colchester area. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Year 2 teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2025.

Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified teaching status) is essential.
- Relevant qualifications (PGCE or similar).
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, or the willingness to obtain one
- A prior working knowledge of the UK primary national curriculum (KS1 & KS2).
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- High expectations of pupils' achievements, attainment and behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

- Deliver lesson plans in an engaging way by using a variety of teaching approaches to effectively engage students in their learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- An enthusiasm to embrace and enhance the creative curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the overall well-being of students.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on educational trends.
