Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Lancashire and surrounding region
Contract: Permanent, Mobile, Full time
Salary: up to £50,000, 1 in 6 On call pay £120 standby
I am currently working on behalf of a large FM and maintenance company, seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This will be a mobile role covering small retailers and commercial offices. As a Gas Engineer the post holder is responsible for planning and carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to Commercial/Industrial boilers and completing inspection and gas safety check certificates.
Main duties will include:
- You'll carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
- You'll ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales, ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified.
- As a Gas Engineer you will also need to carry out reactive and emergency tasks and expected to complete all tasks using handheld technology effectively.
- Have experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment: Including, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, Batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable) Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
The Ideal candidate must have the following:
- Relevant commercial certifications, including CODNCO1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1
- Experience working in commercial settings
- Additional certifications like Catering, IPAF, PASMA, and OFTEC are advantageous but not required
- The ideal candidate will be Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role.
- You will need a valid driving licence.
