This role will have a significant focus on overseeing the MEP aspects of various commercial fit-out projects.

The Role:
As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of fit-out projects, with a particular emphasis on the coordination and oversight of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations. You will be the key point of contact on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of fit-out projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and manage detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Directly oversee and coordinate all MEP installations, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Liaise closely with MEP consultants, subcontractors, and the client team.
- Manage and motivate site teams, including direct labour and subcontractors.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost control.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Chair site meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders.
- Manage the snagging and handover process effectively.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant building regulations and client requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven and extensive experience as a Construction Manager within the fit-out sector.
- A strong and demonstrable understanding of MEP systems and their integration within fit-out projects is essential.
- Experience managing all aspects of commercial fit-out projects.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and resolve complex site-based issues.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including MEP drawings.
- Relevant construction management qualifications (e.g., degree, NVQ).
- A valid SMSTS certificate.
- A valid CSCS card.
