About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Leeds on a temp-to-perm basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of subjects and year groups, gaining invaluable experience in a dynamic school environment.

Essential Requirements

- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is preferred.
- A degree or Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Patience and resilience when managing challenging behaviour.
- Confidence in working with a range of age groups and subjects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Support students in completing set tasks and ensure they remain focused.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.
- Establish strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Monitor and support students with their academic and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to support students with SEND or additional needs.
- Encourage student participation and engagement with lessons.
- Manage classroom resources and ensure materials are used appropriately.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
