As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into various classrooms, bringing stability and continuity to our students' educational experiences. Your flexibility and resourcefulness will be key, as you'll cover a range of subjects, adapting pre-set lesson plans and engaging students with the material. This role is perfect for someone who loves variety and is skilled at thinking on their feet.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
- Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment, applying effective classroom management strategies.
- Encourage and support students in their learning objectives, providing assistance and feedback where needed.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the smooth operation of the school, ensuring that all daily activities run as planned.
- Act as a role model, inspiring students through your passion for education and your commitment to their development.
Below are the requirements to get cleared as a Cover Supervisor:
- Has experience in classroom management or working with children, ideally within an educational setting.
- Is highly adaptable, able to quickly understand and deliver lesson plans across various subjects.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of inspiring and motivating young learners.
- Is organised, dependable, and enthusiastic about contributing to a team.
- Holds a relevant degree or qualification; previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Provide 2 proven professional references
- An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- Right to work in the UK
