Randstad is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Criminal Justice Social Worker in a Drug and Alcohol Service to join the esteemed Pennine NHS. This full-time, rewarding position is based at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport and offers a competitive hourly rate of £18.50 - £20ph. The contract is initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. You'll work Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.
Your Role: As a Criminal Justice Social Worker, you will:
- Empower and enable individuals to make meaningful changes in their lives.
- Support service users in engaging with treatment through one-to-one key working appointments and workshops.
- Manage a caseload, providing personalised care packages, harm reduction advice, and access to treatment and testing.
- Help individuals achieve their recovery goals with a compassionate and informed approach.
- An assessment driven role with case-holding.
What We Are Looking For:
- An understanding of substance and alcohol misuse, and the complexities of the recovery journey.
- Transferable skills from other backgrounds such as mental health, housing, or health and social care.
- Flexibility and dynamism to work both one-to-one and in group settings.
- Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery.
- Excellent communication skills and alignment with our organisational values.
