Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals within the prison setting, crafting personalised support plans to help them achieve rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Provide direct support and guidance to individuals, empowering them to navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system and overcome their challenges.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for the courts and Parole Board, providing expert analysis of individuals backgrounds and progress toward a brighter future.
- Collaborate effectively with other professionals in the criminal justice system, such as probation officers, police officers, and court staff, to ensure a coordinated and impactful approach to support.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Registration with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council)
- Car Driver
- LSCMI trained
- Experience with the following tools is highly valued: SA07, RM2K
- Experience with the following approaches is beneficial: TARL, PBSW, HBR
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation is essential.
