I am working with a leading client of mine who are actively recruiting for 2 day shift maintenance engineers for a flagship commercial site they run based in Central London. This is a great opportunity for somebody looking to come off nights or to secure a new day shift opportunity.

- Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 (DOE)
Duties
- Carry out scheduled maintenance on key building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry standards
- Respond promptly to faults and breakdowns affecting building operations, including those involving critical infrastructure.
- Diagnose and repair equipment or system failures, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety.
- Maintain, repair, and test electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and backup generators.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, such as BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
- Oversee the maintenance of plumbing systems, water treatment, gas pipelines, and boiler operations.
- Ensure effective operation and monitoring of ventilation systems, air handling units (AHUs), and heat exchangers.
- Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to provide a comfortable and safe environment for staff and service users.
- Ensure compliance with building standards and SFG 20
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for inspections and audits.
Requirements
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Eelctrical or Mechanical / Plumbing & Heating
- Experience in commercial maintenance in a large commercial building, data centre or hospital environment
- Strong understanding and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing PPMs and reactive tasks
