Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:
- Ensuring you arrive punctually at the school you have been booked into
- Ensuring that you are reliably available from 7:00 am each day (on which you are available for work) for any bookings
- Adhering to relevant school policies whilst covering that school
- Ensuring you manage behaviour effectively within any classes you've been asked to cover
- Passing on relevant information promptly and effectively within the school
- Adhering to the set cover work and encouraging pupils to engage and complete said work
- Taking registers, covering form periods and a variety of lessons/subjects throughout the day
- Providing a calm and productive learning environment for the pupils
- Dealing with any issues that might arise in a prompt and professional manner
