Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design process across multiple school projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Collaborate effectively with Tier 1 contractors to oversee design development from conception to completion.
Ensure project delivery aligns with both NEC and JCT contract frameworks.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and design teams, to achieve project objectives.
Travel across various project sites within the Kent and Sussex region as required.
Monitor design progress, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
Maintain high standards of quality, sustainability, and value in all design solutions.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience working in the education sector, with a preference for candidates who have worked on DfE projects.
Strong track record of collaborating with Tier 1 contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.
In-depth knowledge and practical experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations.
Willingness to travel extensively across the Kent and Sussex areas.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant qualifications in construction, architecture, or engineering disciplines.
