Role and Responsibilities
As the Director of Teaching and Learning, you will lead and enhance the development of the school's teaching and learning programs. This key leadership position involves:
- Providing strategic leadership in the development, evaluation, and enhancement of the bilingual curriculum.
- Leading the school's inquiry-based learning approach, ensuring a balance between foundational skills and conceptual learning.
- Working closely with the Director of Student Life and other leadership team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Supporting and coaching subject heads to align teaching practices with best practices in education.
- Inspiring and leading a dedicated team of educators, ensuring professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified teacher with at least 7 years of experience in teaching and leadership.
- Previous international teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong background in English as a second language and bilingual education is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a concept-based inquiry learning environment.
- Passion for working with students and a focus on both academic and character development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from 27,000 to 41,000 RMB per month before tax (depending on experience).
