Distribution Clerk

We are seeking a Distribution Clerk with an interest in the Medical and Healthcare industry and ambition, keen to learn new skills and progress through the business.
Pay Rate and Hours:
- £12 phr PAYE
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Day Shift
As a Distribution Clerk you will be responsible for preparing products for shipment to final destinations. More specifically:
- Routine material handling tasks related to the receipt, movement and shipment of materials and Finished goods
- Provide standard clerical and administrative support for the billing and shipping functions
- Pick, assemble and verify customer orders ready for distribution, arranging transport as necessary
- Assemble goods and prepare documentation (for goods considered dangerous for transport) to ensure compliance against international and national regulations (ADR/IATA)
- Responsible to comply with applicable policies and procedures, ISO standards, and with GMP regulations and requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Nat 4 or equivalent in English, Maths or equivalent experience to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills
- Counterbalance forklift licensed, or capable of obtaining a counterbalance forklift license
- Certified as trained in Dangerous Goods transport/handling
- Proven warehouse experience
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other common warehouse equipment
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of GMP processes and procedures
