About the Role:
Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join their team and ensure the efficient management of all project documentation for a prestigious, flagship construction scheme in the North East. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of project information, supporting the smooth operation of the project and contributing to its successful delivery.

Responsibilities:
* Receive, log, and distribute all project documents, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
* Maintain a comprehensive document control system, ensuring all documents are accurately filed, tracked, and readily available.
* Ensure the timely distribution of documents to relevant parties, including project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
* Manage the electronic document management system (EDMS), ensuring its functionality and accessibility.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date document registers and logs.
* Control document versions, ensuring only the latest approved versions are distributed.
* Assist the project team in retrieving and disseminating relevant documents.
* Provide administrative support to the project manager, including meeting coordination and record keeping.
* Identify and resolve document-related issues promptly and efficiently.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of document control processes.
* Ensure that all project documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.
* Conduct regular audits to maintain the accuracy and completeness of the document control system.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of document control principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic document management systems (EDMS) and relevant software.
- Excellent organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize work efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
